Take out baersongling's camp and prague + the minor settlement over there. You want to avoid that marauder attrition. They are marauders though, so keep him away from you main force unless you absolutely need the reinforcements for a battle.

He can get marauder horseman to 0 upkeep by with a T3 horde camp, so having him as a free second army is nice. I like sigvald, but I think starting with him is a waste - much better to recruit him later IMO. Archaeon is also an option thanks to his early magic, but he doesn't become the wrecking ball that kholek is. So, start as kholek, as he's probably the strongest chaos LL. And you probably want norsca taking those cities, since it's their best way to raise new armies and replace lost troops without having to drag their ass all the way back to the north.Īs for your struggles getting your campaign going, some advice: You can duo with norsca and chaos, but then you have to give up huge paydays on sacking capitols to let norsca take them over. It's not dual horde, but that's a really strong starting position for a coop campaign and ikkit doesn't care if beastmen raze cities. Those are the closest horde factions to each other, and while nakai is less thematic you he can leave his followers to occupy ruins. And if you are going dual horde, I think your best bet is some mix of nakai/chaos/morghur. Try to get the greenskins or moulder to ally with you. However, the other tribes can confederate them, so you can still have them on your side.ģ) Duo horde campaigns can work, but you still have to deal with the problem of the AI recolonizing. You're going to NEED them, so the more early levels the better.Ģ) I don't believe you can directly vassalize throgg and wulfrik.

They are also a series of relatively easy battles - that can help you level up your lord and heroes quickly. Don't expect them to be a powerful ally, but they are useful. They don't have a huge impact, but they draw the empire's resources away and keep harassing their northern coast. TLDR: The awaken tribe info in game wasnt very clear (maybe just to me) so I'm looking for some tips and clarification.īonus question: what are the pro/cons to fighting or following chaos as norsca when the event prompts?ġ) Yes, you want to awaken the tribes and have them work for you. My questions are, is it possible to awaken multiple tribes and have them all work as my vassals effectively? What about wulfrik and throgg? Can they be somehow coerced to follow me or are they exempt from all of this? Is it there benefits from one tribe to the next or are they all the same? Lastly, my buddy wanted to do a duo horde campaign for fun and I figured this would be a good opportunity to finally take a real crack at chaos, should I just play norsca? Lol Try 3: I dont awaken any tribe and couldn't build enough momentum. (Is this acceptable to have just 1 strong allied tribe?) Try 2: awakened first tribe, went on to confederate norsca province after province while I was dealing with kislev and now I have no nearby tribes to awaken. Try 1: awaken first tribe, which proceeds to get snuffed out almost immediately by attacking kislev when I wasnt around to help Anyways, each time I had vastly different experiences with the tribes mechanic and was hoping to get some clarification here. Only ever got to about turn 20 each time before switching to something else or playing with friends in battle. So I dabbled around just to get a feel of chaos a couple different times here and there.
